Polish pro Iga Swiatek once again gets her name into the books of records as she clinches her fourth French Open title. The whole of the clay season has been hers. From Stuttgart to the Roland Garros, Swiatek has dominated her way through the tournaments and continued the same at the French Open.
Swiatek was up against Jasmine Paolini in the finals of Roland Garros. Many expected the game to go deep, but the Pole decided to carry her dominating form to the showdown and finished it off in great style. After the first set, Paolini did not even have a chance to get back in the match.
Swiatek became unstoppable in the second and was very close to making it a bagel set. However, the Italian held her serve before Swiatek finished off the match, winning 6-2, 6-1. After her victory, the Pole ran to her box and hugged her dad.

Iga Swiatek replicates Serena Williams’ US Open dominance on clay
WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek has unofficially been hailed as the ‘Queen Of Clay’ because of her sheer dominance in the clay court tournaments. Runners up in Stuttgart followed by two Masters wins, Swiatek only got better this year and won the French Open as well as a cherry on top.
She made quick work of Jasmine Paolini to become a five-time Grand Slam winner. Definitely an incredible record for the Pole, who is inching closer to breaking more and more records. With her French Open win, she has now replicated Serena Williams’ US Open record.
Iga Swiatek becomes the first woman to win any Grand Slam 3 years in a row since Serena Williams.

— The Tennis Letter (@TheTennisLetter) June 8, 2024The American legend had won three consecutive US Open titles from 2012-14, and now Swiatek has achieved a similar feat on clay. She previously won the French Open in 2022 and 2023 and has added another title to the list this year. It’s a perfect end to her clay court season, with only one loss recorded. Now that the grass court season is coming up, Swiatek hopes to replicate her success and continue winning more Grand Slams.
