The levels of greatness portrayed by the Miami Heat with Lebron James playing alongside Dwyane Wade aren’t unknown to anyone who follows the NBA. The bond that James and Wade shared throughout their journey of bagging NBA titles in two consecutive years will never be forgotten.
Lebron James being a star right from the beginning of his career and Dwyane Wade being in the prime of his career were likely to possess less room for teamwork and more of a self-reliable game but all of these speculations were busted when the teammates became more like brothers to each other.
James’ agent Rich Paul sat down for a podcast with Gilbert Arenas.
Dwyane Wade was extremely selfless. Since there was a friendship that was going they had mutual respect for each other.Rich Paul said on Gil’s Arena
James, by the time he was traded to Miami Heat was already a force to deal with but when it came to holding him accountable for his mistakes it was easy for Wade because of the ‘Friendship’ they shared.
It isn’t often easy for two big stars to prosper together on the same team in the NBA. However, the selfless nature of Wade ensured that there was enough for James to grow whilst working for the collective goal of winning the title not just once but twice.
The ‘Lebron And Wade’ duo averaged about 50 points per game, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists per game altogether and also ended up winning the Championship title twice during their time together. To this date, the James and Wade duo is considered one of the most lethal duos in NBA history.
Who was more important for Miami – Lebron James or Chris Bosh?
Lebron James has been quite a controversial name in the Greatest Of All Time debate. In a similar controversial conversation, Udonis Haslem stated that Chris Bosh was more important to Miami than James because the former could space the floor so that he could draw the defenders, letting the latter and Wade dominate the paint.
Bosh was a menace on the offense averaging 48% of the field goals and 28% at the 3-point line. His significant number of game-winners used to keep the defenders on their toes.
With players like Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki dominating with their size on the defensive end, a shooter needed to force the big man out of the paint so that James could do his thing under the rim. This is why Haslem believes that Bosh is more important than James.
